We have helped numerous clients over the last few decades celebrate their Special Occasion. These have included wedding receptions, anniversaries, birthdays, christenings, retirements, home-comings from overseas, engagements and family and friends 'get-togethers', to name but a few.

Our dedicated function organizer, Bill Berwick, will assist you every step of the way from your first enquiry through to the close of your special occasion. Menus, drinks, timings, seating plans, decorations, flowers, cakes, music, entertainment, special requests and requirements, etc. will all be considered to help you achieve either the formality or informality you wish and to make your occasion individual and special.

We have a number of colleagues that we have worked with over the years and we can advise you on marquee hire, entertainers, venue theming, fireworks, guest accommodation, taxis, etc.

Guide Costs

All our function menus are designed personally with you and therefore costs vary from client to client but as a guide:
  • Wedding Reception: From £92.00 per person (including food)
  • Three Course Function Menu [served to table]: £38.35 per person
  • Chilled or Hot Two Course Buffet Menu [served from buffet table]: £28.75 per person
  • Giant Paella Two Course Buffet Menu [served from giant pan and buffet table]: £29.60 per person
  • Finger Buffet [served from buffet table]: £25.80 per person
  • Canapes [served on silver salvers to your guests as they mingle]: £14.85 per person
  • Hog Roasts, Mezzes and Other Catering Requirements: Please Enquire £POA
All our food and drinks are waiting staff served and cleared for your comfort and relaxation.

There are NO hire, cover or service charges for the venue. However, some special requests and requirements may attract their own charges over and above those normally charged by Halliford Mere; you will be advised accordingly if and when they apply.

UNFORTUATELY WE HAVE HAD TO SUSPEND ISSUING DAY TICKETS AT PRESENT DUE TO WARM SURFACE WATER AND LOW OXYGEN LEVELS IN THIS LAYER. PLEASE CALL US FOR FURTHER DETAILS. Day ticket allows for up to 5 fish to be caught in any one place. Once this limit has been reached, anglers must move at least 2 swims to continue fishing.

Anglers are asked to report their catch to the lodge before leaving.
