Fishery Rules

• Fly fishing only
• Fishing tickets must be purchased prior to fishing or as soon as staff are in attendance at the pavilion.
• Use only barbless/de-barbed hooks for catch and release.
• Fish being released should not be removed from the water.
• Only knotless/seamless landing nets can be used.
• All brown trout & coarse fish must be released back to the water throughout the year.
• Foul hooked/damaged fish must be surrendered at the pavilion.
• Please report all catches at the pavilion.
• The management reserve the right to admission.
• Under 18 year olds must be accompanied by an adult.
• No litter or fishing line whatsoever is to be left on the fishery.
• Only single hook flies can be used, up to size 10 longshank only.
• Teams of up to three flies can be used.
• Do not disturb wildlife and keep away from nesting birds.
• Do not damage any vegetation.
• No dogs are allowed without permission.
• No radios.
• No night fishing.
• No wading.
• Access to all islands is forbidden.

The fishery rules as listed above and as may be amended from time to time by the management without prior notice, apply to all anglers using Halliford Mere Lakes.
